The Deligram shines a spotlight on the many incredible food artisans in New York–and beyond. So we look to our friends to help us discover the best of the best every day. This week, we spoke to Mike Chau, a born-and-bred New Yorker who is a software developer, dad, husband… and best known as the creator of @foodbabyny. The viral Instagram account, which features his babies (who are no longer babies) and where he eats in New York, is also one of the best places to get restaurant recommendations in New York. So, with that in mind, we asked him to share his favorite things to eat, and, for premium subscribers only, his favorite thing to eat in New York.

My Favorite Things

Caffe Panna ice cream
“
My freezer is always fully stocked with Caffe Panna ice cream. It’s the best ice cream in New York, and they churn out a mind-boggling number of different flavors each and every week, so I probably need a new freezer soon.”

Wandering Bear cold brew

“My fridge is always stocked with Wandering Bear Cold Brew. I'm a Cold Brew all year person, no matter the temperature, so it's crucial to always have some at the ready if I'm around the house and can't make it out to get some coffee.”

Seasoned seaweed snack sheets

“Contrary to popular belief, the kids can be picky eaters sometimes, but one of the healthier snacks they all love is seaweed, so I love keeping these in the house, as a much better snack than the usual candy and chips that kids always ask for.”
